So, how are those New Year’s resolutions going? Many people rang in the New Year with resolutions to lose weight, drink more water or get organized. Unfortunately, it’s hard to keep up with those goals long-term. What if this year you promised something more permanent–a resolution you know you will keep? How about a remodel on your home? We can help!
When you see a beautiful finished room on Instagram or HGTV, do you immediately ask yourself “how can I have that?”
You aren’t alone. We see people all the time that walk into our showroom or call us on the phone asking “so, how does this all work?”
We want to give you an overview of the steps from the time you walk into our showroom door to the moment you stand in your new dream space, taking it all in.
Considering the transformation that took place over the duration of our engagement with a client is really exciting to us. It’s made even more exciting when our client joins us in looking back on what made a home remodel project a success. We recently asked a client about their kitchen remodel and they graciously spent time sharing their perspective and experience.
Thinking about kitchen appliances can be very overwhelming. There’s so many options. Take your cooking appliances for example: ovens, ranges, and cook tops. Even if you can decide between gas, electric, induction, or dual fuel options, you still have to consider finishes.
That’s why when we help clients shop for appliances, we partner with local companies like, G&H Appliance in Christiansburg, that specialize in the latest and greatest in appliance technology.
At the Ewing Companies, it gives us great pleasure to see a project through from start to finish. We’re familiar with the steps, starting with our customers coming into the showroom and meeting with Sara, all the way through to building and seeing the finished product. There are plenty of reasons to remodel your kitchen, but it may seem daunting to take those first steps. You shouldn’t ever feel overwhelmed: we’re here for you!
The homes we live in are about so much more than the spaces themselves– they are the backdrop for our stories and experiences. Debbie Ewing lost her mother, Mary Coppino Wood, on January 10, 2017. In the days to follow, the family gathered to remember her mother’s beautiful legacy and the ways she impacted so many people around her. The funeral took place on a Saturday but the entire weekend was family focused.
Does the idea of planning a kitchen remodel or choosing new cabinets stress you out? Here at the Ewing Companies, we don’t want any step of your remodeling or building project to be stressful. We have decades of experience to take good care of you while we’re working on designing and building your dream space.
We love home design. It’s in our bones and the reason why the Ewing family loves our business here in Blacksburg. Meeting with clients, planning out our work, and physically building your dream spaces are all things we love to do.
When you’re planning a remodel of your current kitchen, thinking about all the things that could make the space amazing is half the fun! With a few exciting touches, additions made during construction can add value to your home, make your daily life easier, and add happiness to your routine for years to come. One thing you need to know about Debbie Ewing is that she has been a lifetime cook. Since the age of ten, she has invested a lot of time in the kitchen, baking and preparing food for the friends and family she loves so dearly. Debbie recalled, “My mom let me cook and taught me to do things early. Of my 65 years probably 55 have been cooking.” Knowing that, it only makes sense that such an avid cook and baker would have big dreams for her kitchen.
